Velvet Revolver Jumps the Gun

So while working both hard and diligently at my internship today, a co-worker sent this link my way.

For those not inclined to click on things, Velvet Revolver, a band trying desperatly to live like its 1992 separate heydays, kicked lead singer Scott Weiland out of the band. Apparenly, VR memebers didn’t really dig is erratic behavior. Erratic behavior? From a former heroine addict? Get right out of town.

Not that this is any skin off Weiland’s nose. The once and future front-man of 90s grunge rockers Stone Temple Pilots is getting his old band back together for a few dates this year, which, of course, has sparked rumors of a new album, which seems the be the trend these days.

But the real intriuge in all this is what will happen with Velvet Revolver, a band that is now 3/4 ex-Guns n’ Roses members. What with Dr. Pepper throwing down the gauntlet to Axl less than a week ago, could we see yet another failed GnR reunion? Stay tuned…
